I realize I've been noticeably slow with new posts for the past few weeks, sorry 'bout that. But here's one, the long out of print soundtrack with Christopher Young's score for "Flowers in the Attic," that strange film based on the bestseller by V.C. Andrews about a group of siblings who are locked in the attic by their deranged grandmother. The movie features some very good (albeit somewhat campy) performances by Louise Fletcher, Victoria Tennant and Kristy Swanson... but the movie was radically toned down in comparison to the novel, which featured an incest subplot (hinted at but never explored in the film) and a little more overall gruesomeness and depravity. Can't quite figure out why Andrews' books have been a staple of reading amongst teenage girls for decades... Anyway, here's the album, so enjoy!
